Patna (Bihar) [India], October 20 (ANI): Bihar Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Dilip Jaiswal on Monday reaffirmed “rock solid” unity of the NDA alliance like the “Pandavas” ahead of the Bihar Assembly election.
Dilip Jaiswal was reffering to the five constituents of the NDA alliance: BJP, Janata Dal (United), Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) and Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM), as Pandavas from the Mahabharat.
Jaiswal also suggested that there is “infighting” in the opposition’s Mahagathbandhan.
“The NDA alliance has the rock-solid unity of the five Pandavas. On the other hand, there is infighting in the Mahagathbandhan… All the Mahagathbandhan parties, including RJD and Congress, are spending their time accusing each other. The public is watching; the voters are watching. The Mahagathbandhan that cannot share seats cannot run Bihar,” Dilip Jaiswal told ANI.
“The voters have made up their mind that the NDA government must be formed in Bihar again with a huge majority,” he added.
Jaiswal also alleged that the Opposition is distributing tickets by taking money and land from the candidates.
“There is a money game going on in the Mahagathbandhan. What can be expected from those who play a money game in ticket distribution for Bihar’s development? They have a history of getting land registered in the name of jobs, and today they are taking both money and land for tickets,” he said.
Earlier, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Mrityunjay Tiwari said that the alliance parties must understand that the Lalu Prasad Yadav-led party mainly contests in Bihar and won’t ask for seats in states like Karnataka and Rajasthan.
Speaking to ANI, Tiwari said that such situations arise in this era of coalition politics, and they will be resolved once the top leaders in the Mahagathbandhan sit together, as there is still time.
“Such situations emerge when there is a coalition, but it must be understood that RJD contests elections only in Bihar and a few seats in Jharkhand. We will not demand seats in Karnataka, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh from the Congress. They must understand the ground realities. There is still time. All the top leaders of the Mahagathbandhan parties would sit together to discuss and resolve this issue,” RJD leader Tiwari said.
Polling in the Bihar 2025 elections is scheduled to take place on November 6 and 11, respectively, while the results will be declared on November 14. (ANI)
